Jesse's EAGLE project happened!!!

WE three, r very happy w/ the turn out of the evening!!!
Jesse has been here w/ grpa and grma since July 22nd. They've spent
plenty of time playing and visiting...
But ONE week ago things got SERIOUS for the Eagle project count down...
Jesse's PLAN: to collect 500 entertainment items for the Primary Children's
Medical Center. Dad Michael helped w/ the flyer-"technical writer"
Jerry enrolled AND drove Mark to Bountiful to help Jesse pass out 300 flyers
to houses in the neighborhood/ward.
Jerry and Nancy bbsat Grpa and cooked him a delicious Bday dinner
while the boys hiked the neighborhood.
Jesse and Grpa discussed the plan for hours and hours... AND got copies
made to deliver to doors.
Grpa rode along tonight w/ me and Jesse and Jesse's leader to pick up the items.
Kid magazines, bubbles, hot wheel cars, dolls, board games, card games, lego sets,
coloring books, dvd's/cd's, play do, paperback novels, puzzles, madlib/suduko books
were on the list.
At the church, we were hoping these were the cars to go out... NOPE....

It happened ONE day last week!!

Michael and I got on Bart and went to SF for the afternoon and evening.
I wanted to see this Samurai display at the museum and it was the same
Bart stop as WICKED!!
We first went to the display and learned LOTS of new things about Japan.
And then we WON the lottery for two tickets for WICKED!!  YEAH!!
That made the show $50 for the 2 of us instead of $160!  What a lucky deal!!
WICKED!!
What a good show!  We were 4 seats over to the right of stage the 1st 1/2
and then we moved to front row middle 2nd 1/2 and LOVED the WHOLE show!!

The REST of the visit to SLC and PROVO

Michael and Jesse went down the Alpine Slide in Park City.
Grpa WALKED all the way from the car to the slide area to watch the event!
Jesse in RED!
A family geocache-ing moment by BYU.
Gotta OWN a camera to be in this family!!!
Grpa going outside to enjoy the kids taking pictures.
Out in the yard at Jerry/Nancy's in Provo.

This is EASY for Jerry, he IS a hiker!!!

All that working out pays OFF, Jesse holding up the arch so the guys can
go under it, thanx Jes!
A REST STOP 4 Michael...  Gorgeous rock colors!
Hiking in the shade and cool of the morning hours.  Tour at 10:30am, SO hurry!

The Summer continues...

The happy group at the A's vs Yankee's night game!!!  Thanks JERRY!!!
Since we ONLY go to A's games w/ Jerry, this is your FIRST clue that JERRY
came back for another "father/son" visit to the bay area and brought STEVEN!!
Mark and Steven are basically the big and little of the same male,
SO don't get confused by the similarities!!!?
This is STEVEN in these pictures, 22 yr. old, RM and has the world by the tail!!!
Just ask him!!  He's a blast and SO entertaining!
The A's were playing the Yankee's so we spanned the USA w/o even traveling and
it was a PACKED house loss for the A's...  We rode bart and it was a night game, FUN!
Did they say 670 STEPS!?!  Amazing Dipsea stairs and hike... YES, I
climbed the stairs... NO did NOT continue on the hike to Stinson Beach
and over the mountains!!
Jerry mentioned something about "his" bday gift...?  Next year it will be
a GIFT card from Walmart!!  This was at the top and on our way down.
Some humans do this 4 times each day for their workout, AMAZING, I met
one of them!?!?!
The location is Mill Valley and the redwoods and lush foliage is beyond
word or pictures doing it justice, this is a tulip vine behind me...
Per Steven's request we drove to this sight, a kiddie park in the background...
Jerry photo-ed Steven before he took off for the stairs and the 7 plus miles
over the mountain and on the Dipsea trail.  It was sunny here...  foggy over the
mountain.  A seagull ate his lunch and he dipped into the cold Pacific Ocean following
his 2hr.  sprint/jog/hike!?  I was not wearing a hat, but I take it off to him!

Hiking/walking seemed to be the purpose of this father/son bonding trip...
Steven in the red beanie, Jerry and Michael walking across the Golden Gate Bridge.
OH yeah, 2nd hand shopping was requested too...  Haight Ashbury lunch
and parking "angel" sight NEXT to Crossroads.  Steven was already shopping...
At the top of Coit Tower...  Lovin' our tye dyes!!
Yet another set of stairs...  Good thing Jerry is SO young on this trip~~
Gotta keep up w/ your kids!?!  Climbing up to Coit Tower.
Waiting to check into the timeshare in SF.  Jerry/Steven spent 2 nights
downtown Union Square and touring the financial district and Cable Car
riding and ...
getting samples of CHOCOLATE!!
Hot Fudge!!
Making the chocolate...
AND eating the chocolate!  Still were giving out the peanut butter samples, yum!
Steven w/ his GQ "no shavin' smile!!  Thanks guys for coming out our way and sharing the
summer fun w/ us!!
