Jesse is washing the car that will be his soon...
He takes his driver test on July 21!
Dad Michael with Boy Michael/Rebecca's two little ones in RSVL.
Princess Grace and Princess Anne.
Sister love and kisses...  Anne LOVES her little puppy that barks,
but doesn't poop in the house! 'cuz it comes WITH batteries!
Jenna, in her NEW cute outfit... ready to go tan.
We'll have to take a picture of her UNITED uniform next.
Dad Michael's truck that SOLD today...  SO no more truck,
going everywhere in the CRV now.  Yeah, saving gas, $4.44 a gallon here.

Fun in the Sun!...

SO...  Dad Michael, what do you want to do for Father's Day?
Go to the beach and wave to my family from the surf...
HAPPY FATHER'S DAY!
Sharing our point of view...
It was a "family" day at the beach, Jenna and Jesse getting ready for swimming.
Swimming/tubing Hawaii style and playing in the waves.
My new "blog" picture... wondering why I waited SO long to get the beach in the blog?
This is what we do during the summer.../fall/winter/spring...  Any questions?

...He BOUGHT a race car, Mom!

"WHAT?...  Jenna, are you kidding me?"
This was our "pre" hike conversation while driving to the Kapaa mountain
for some mom/daughter time...  Jenna had asked what Michael was doing this evening
and I said he was over at John's, our mechanic, working on JOHN'S RACE CAR...

"You mean, working on HIS race car!?!?" was Jenna's reply.
WHAT?  We had agreed that we were buying a COUCH first!!!
Not a race car?!?!?  So I decided to sleuth this out for myself.
Yep, LOOK at those greasy hands and that smile, Chess-ire Cat IF I ever saw one!
Michael's explanation...  It only cost $400 and I've ALWAYS wanted to race and
I'm racing on July 4/5, SO we are getting it tuned up!  ...anyways, I just bought the
racing helmet!  Yeah, I HAD found that sitting in the hall closet and didn't EVEN put the
whole thing together...  Guess I was still on Atlanta time and a little fogged!
SO, pictures WILL follow and NOW we have big plans for July 4th!?
And I am married to a "grease" monkey/racer dude?!?!
Well, a VERY happy "grease" monkey...  Is there such a thing as a 60ish mid life fling?
OK, hopefully he can sell his teal truck soon and maybe Jenna can drive the race car on the
OFF Race days!!?
Michael said something about having to change out the RACE tires...  Oh, MAN!!

Jesse GOES to Work!

SO, Jesse got hired by Subway, and he is training to be a "Sandwich ARTIST!"
Last night, after an evening "stroll" up the side of  a mountain!?, Jenna and I
stopped by Jess's work to let him "artist" a pastrami footlong sandwich for us.
It was really good!  Jenna got him to put EXTRA, EXTRA pepperchinnis on it...
SEE?  Yummy sandwich and drink and white chocolate cookies
make for a good "after hike" dinner.  Jesse was asking to learn how to cook, so now
he is gettin' paid to learn!
Cheers!  Eat up and enjoy!  That was a BIG sandwich, too much for me!

Back from Atlanta...

Lots of things took place in the short Atlanta visit!
#1 Baby Jordyn entered the world and is SO cute!
Water broke Sunday noonish, she was born Tues. 4:35am... Long labor! Beautiful baby!!
Was hard to say bye to the new little family! Planes were
starting to fly full for the summer and I got to spend 15 hrs. getting to LA the Monday I took off... Flew into Kauai Tues. by noon, got to fly back the Hawaii leg FIRST class, THANKS Jenna!!
We did many things while I was in Atlanta, inspite of two days laboring, and two days stuck in the hospital afterwards. We went to brunch at Cracker Barrel on Sat. and each of us got our own plates of food and ate the WHOLE thing!! Yummmmy! I also was treated to Olive Garden by Cathy and we managed to get to Panda Express and Arbys and McDonald's at the hospital. We did shopping at Target 3 times, Walmart-pre baby, got my toes painted and shopped at Ross for church skirts. Plus, we had 3 healthy and yummy dinners at home from the "Meal Planner Program" Jax/Brx subscribe to and a crock pot chicken dinner from Crystal on Sunday night! Good eatin' in the south!
Baby Jordyn's first outing in her bucket, other than coming home from the hospital. In front of Cracker Barrel, happy little family! It was hot in Atlanta, thank goodness for 24/7 air conditioning! There were brakes to be fixed on Jax's SUV and laundry done twice at the laundrymat, (they now have w/d in their new "old" house!!) They were just moving in from the previous weekend, family and friends had helped paint that week, so boxes got unloaded to bookshelves and some organizing (which is VERY entertaining for me!)
Baby clothes opened and washed for new use.
Squirrels to watch in the backyard, weeds to pull and bushes to trim,
rocking chairs to sit on in the sun while baby got over jaundice. AND...
about 97 episodes of HGTV to watch during labor, after birthing and during moving in and naptime...!
Jax ran a couple errands each day after getting home from the hospital, and she says she's feeling really good now,
just needs to keep napping during the day.
Nursing seems to have taken for them and we're excited for that!!!
Cathy planned a Baby Birthday dinner party for Jordyn on Sat. night with cake and all! This is Summer, Brx's sister with baby Jordyn and the cake. They also had a pizza party in the recovery room the night she was born with Crystal and Ezra, Summer, Clay and Macy and Lilli, Grma/Grpa Snow and Gammy Net, so... this little girl seems to have plenty of excited people who like to party, surrounding her!! Luv you Jordyn!
The trip was from Sat. night to Monday morning and not a dull moment!!!
8 days of Atlanta fun! See you guys in Oct, when it is COOLER there!!!
